Video: Good Manufacturing Practices Overview

Current Good Manufacturing Processes

One of the unique features of the ConnectFood platform is the Current Good Manufacturing Processes, or GMP, survey.

GMPs are federal regulations that apply to all facilities that manufacture, process, pack or hold FDA‐regulated food. GMPs are the basis for determining whether food products have been processed under sanitary conditions.

According to the updated regulations of the Food Safety Modernization Act, every company must be complaint with their GMP’s.

The GMP regulations don’t require written procedures outside of training records, but they are recommended as part of a facility’s Standard Operating Procedures to manage the GMPs and document the results of these programs.

This can be very helpful to limit the amount of product that may be subject to corrective actions or recalls if an incident should occur.

ConnectFood allows you to fill out a survey to make sure you are, indeed, compliant, or quickly spot what your facility needs to focus on.

In our exclusive survey, you will be asked to answer questions about your facility based on these main categories: Personnel, Plant & Grounds, Sanitary Operations, Sanitary Controls, Equipment, Process, and Distribution.
