Video-How to Migrate a Linear Process Flow to a Parallel Flow
Last Updated: May 17, 2019With the addition of the process flow chart feature, you can now create parallel flow charts. Below is a video that demonstrates how to modify an existing linear process flow to a parallel one.
Here are the steps outlined in the video:
- Delete the link connecting the 1st "Receiving shelf stable ingredients" step to the 2nd step.
- Drag the 2nd "Receiving shelf stable ingredients" step to the top right of the chart.
- Drag the 3rd process step, "Raw peanut storage" under "Receiving shelf stable ingredients" on the right side.
- Drag the 4th process step "Non-peanut ingredient storage" up under the 1st process step.
- Draw a line from "Receiving shelf stable ingredients" to "Non-peanut ingredient storage".
- Draw a line from the "Receiving shelf stable ingredients" on the right side of the chart to "Raw peanut storage".
- Draw a line from "Raw peanut storage" to "Mixing all ingredients".
- Use the "auto arrange" feature to optimize the layout. Note: you can always make manual adjustments after the steps have been automatically arranged.
